Making ArtAt camp and at Creativity for Peace gatherings in Israel and Palestine girls work in all artistic genres, including drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, pottery, mixed media, and photography. These sessions allow each girl to:
Ongoing DialogueUpon their return home, the girls' friendships deepen through regular meetings and emails. They bring the power of their experience and fresh perspective into the lives of their families, friends, and communities, where it continues to expand, creating a sustainable dialogue where communication may not have existed before. In addition to the girls' meetings, parents sometimes come together to speak of the positive change in their daughters, of the noticeable increase in their leadership skills, self-confidence, and academic performance, and greater happiness and peace of mind. Young LeadersCreativity for Peace's Young Leaders program involves former campers who wish to further develop their leadership and peacemaking skills. Thirty-three former campers participate in this program. Each year a small number of young leaders are invited to serve as junior counselors for the summer peace camp in New Mexico.
