In memory of Bessan Abuelaish, 1988-2009

Bessan Abuelaish attended Creativity for Peace’s summer camp in 2003 and 2004.

In January 2009, at age 20, she was a few months short of earning her Bachelor degree in business and financial management when she was killed, alongside two sisters and a cousin, by an Israeli attack on her home in Gaza.

Bessan was pure of heart, caring, and loved by many. We remember her as a peacemaker.
